Electroless Nickel – PTFE (EN-PTFE)
Electroless Nickel – PTFE is a functional coating in which PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) particles are co-deposited within a nickel-phosphorus matrix.
The PTFE content can be adjusted between 5 – 35% by volume, providing low friction and non-stick surface properties.
Hardness values range between 22 – 35 HRC, increasing to 37 – 46 HRC after heat treatment.
This coating is widely used in the textile industry, particularly in weaving machines, to minimize yarn adhesion.
It is also suitable for casting molds, offering smooth surfaces and improved release performance.
